RHODES WELLNESS COLLEGE

Mountainside Wellness is proud to partner with Rhodes Wellness College - offering eight students each year a one of a kind opportunity to learn and work at a private practice focused on removing boundaries on mental health and wellness services that are often out of reach for the Indigenous, BIPOC, 2SLGBTQIA+, disabled, and neurodivergent communities.

ABOUT RHODES WELLNESS COLLEGE

Established in 1996, Rhodes Wellness College has graduated hundreds of successful students who have gone on to meaningful careers as coaches, counsellors, outreach workers, and more. While theory and knowledge have always been a core component of the college’s programs, Rhodes College specializes in teaching students how to apply and practice the theory and knowledge they learn in their life, their workplace, and with their clients.

At Rhodes, the experiential learning model is used. Experiential learning is the process of actively engaging students in an authentic experience that will have benefits and consequences. Students make discoveries and experiment with knowledge themselves instead of only hearing or reading about the experiences of others. Students also reflect on their experiences, thus developing new skills, attitudes, and new theories or ways of thinking. The Rhodes training program is based on the medicine wheel of emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical wellness.
